External Factors
The influence of external factors on skin condition
There is a variety of external factors influencing the skin leaving either positive or negative effects on it. Proper methods used in facial care act prophylacticly and curatively. In the case when a person uses inapriopriate methods and specimens the condition of the skin may worsen. This can make present ailments deeper, for instance using alkalizing agents with dry skin permanently may cause burning and itching of the skin as well as shedding of the epidermis and its rupture what in further course leads to the infection. Xerodermia causes faster wrinkles occurance, because the skin loses its fat coat and becomes less elastic. In the case when inadequate creams are used with oil skin this may deteriorate its condition, because the cream in connection with sebum secreted by the oil glands form a perfect medium for bacteria.
The conditions in which a person works undoubtedly have some influence on skin condition. For example dusting in workshops cause skin dryness. Taking oil skin into consideration the dust that gets into skin with dust and dirt creates ideal ground to the development of bacteria. What is more, working in places poorly ventilated and in cigarette smoke has a bad influence on skin colour and its suppleness (the skin becomes grey and flabby easily). Nevertheless the opposite is not good as well, meaning that working outside all the time leads to excessive keratosis of the epidermis, telangiectasis, is conducive to congelation dermatitis. Moreover, permanent wetting and washing hands causes maceration of the epidermis and fragility of nails, what is conducive to epidermophytosis (and mytcosis in general), blastomycosis, infections, and having contact with chemicals continually – alergic states.
