Making up …
The colour of the make up should match with the colour of the eyes, hair, colouring of the skin, etc. Taking into consideration individual specificity, some minimal departures from the widely taken rules might occur though, here are some approximate colouristic sets of cosmetic preparations used for the make up.
Blond-haired women with ashen tinge, blue eyes and pale skin:
face powder – light coloured with delicate pink tinge
rouge – very light with pink tinge
lipstick – pink
eyebrow pencil – grey colour
eyelashes mascara – blue or deep blue
eyeshadows – blue or pearl colour
Blond-haired women with honey-coloured skin, hazel or greenish eyes:
face powder – light golden or cream coloured
lipstick – beige with coral tinge or coral-coloured
rouge – light in the tinge of lipstick
eyebrow pencil – brown
eyelashes mascara – brown or black
eyeshadows – in the colour of person’s eyes, beige, green or brown
Black-haired women with blue or grey-and-blue eyes and pale skin:
face powder – light pink
lipstick – lilac-pink or raspberry-red
rouge – light in the tinge of lipstick
eyelashes mascara – deep/navy blue or black
eyebrow pencil – black or grey
eyeshadows – in the tinge of person’s eyes (grey, silvery)
Black-haired women with dark-coloured eyes and swarthy skin
face powder – in the apricot-and-golden, olive or dark brown tinge
lipstick – red or light-cherry coloured
rouge – yellowish red
eyelashes mascara – deep/navy blue or black
eyebrow pencil – black
eyeshadows – green or in the colour of person’s eyes
Ginger-haired women with golden shades, pale skin and blue or grey eyes:
face powder – light, natural or creamy-pink colour
lipstick – yellowish red or lilac-pink
rouge – light in the tinge of lipstick

eyebrow pencil – light brown

Ginger-haired women with auburn shades, green or nut-brown eyes:
face powder – beige tinge

Dark brown-haired women with pale skin:

lipstick – light red or coral (for women with dark eyes); pink (for women with blue or grey eyes)

Dark brown-haired women with swarthy skin and dark eyes:
face powder – dark beige or golden
lipstick – coral or red crimson
rouge – in the colour of lipstick
