Rouge and Powder
Rouge.
There are few types of rouge available i.e. cream rouge (blusher), which is rather oily and either loose rouge or compact/pressed rouge, which are dry. Use rouge in cream for dry and normal type of skin but dry rouge for skins that are oily. Apply cream blusher onto the face where the cream was previously put.
Where to put the rouge concerning the shape of face?
Rouge application technique.
Before applying cream rouge put the cream or make-up base first. Apply it with brush, by putting few small spots 1 mm2 wide and slightly spread with fingers in such a way that there are no distinguishable borderlines between the cosmetic and cheek skin. Then put the face powder. Put dry rouge onto the face powder. In order to make your make up long-lasting, before applying the rouge powder the face – on the cheeks more intensively. Then take some rouge on the brush and spread it carefully in such a way that there are no spots or visible borderlines. Instead of rouge you can use dark face powder appropriately matching skin colouring.
Face powder.
There are loose face powders and compact/pressed powders. Frequently you powder your face after applying some cream or make-up base on it first. Before putting dark powder, which is used to impart appropriate skin colouring, powder your face with light powder because dark powder applied without light one leaves dark steaks on the face.
Compact/pressed powder application technique.
Apply compact powder with a wet cosmetic sponge, which is neither too dry nor too wet. If the sponge is too dry, the skin will not be covered properly. However, in the case when the cosmetic sponge is too wet the powder layer on the face will be too thick and therefore look unnaturally.
Loose powder application technique.
Apply loose face powder with cotton wool or powder puff. Start powdering from the chin moving up to the cheeks, nose and forehead.
